Registered Nurse Endoscopy/GI

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Coordinate and deliver nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic and GI procedures.
  
  
• 
  Assist with advanced procedures such as EUS, ERCP, Navigational Bronchoscopy, and Manometry.
  
  
• 
  Perform phlebotomy and IV placements, adhering to competency requirements.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient status and respond to clinical needs before, during, and after procedures.
  
  
• 
  Maintain and ensure proper calibration of specialized equipment like Olympus scopes, Bravo, and VCE systems.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately using EPIC and ensure compliance with charting protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid NY State RN license and have at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy and IV insertion.
  
  
• 
  Possess ACLS and BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Be familiar with EPIC electronic health record systems.
  
  
• 
  Willing to float to different units and adapt to varying schedules.
  
  
• 
  Capable of handling procedural-based patient care with competency verification.
