Vascular Technologist- Registered Vascular Solutions - DBA - Truffles Vein Specialists -FT-

JOB SUMMARY:
Perform vascular diagnostic ultrasound testing of extracranial, peripheral, and visceral vascular systems. Primary focus is on venous insufficiency, Deep Venous Testing (Iliac and Pelvic), and assisting in peripheral venous procedures such as endovenous ablation, VenaSeal, Varithena, USG foam sclerotherapy, etc. Collect data and provide documentation of test results for reading physicians. Training is provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews medical record, obtains history, and performs a physical exam pertinent to vascular disease. Review the physician's order and obtain clarification as needed.
• Performs duplex / Doppler exams per policy and procedure. Obtain assistance from a supervisor or a physician as needed.
• Provides preliminary results in the electronic medical record. Notify the referring physician of significant abnormal findings before discharging the patient from the lab. Provide final report data for reading physicians.
• Maintains appropriate care of all ultrasound equipmen—Obtainss technical support as needed from the equipment manufacturer or biomedical electronics.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:

VASCULAR SONOGRAPHY (NOVICE): - Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiencyto demonstrate vascular sonography in practical applications of moderate difficulty successfullyy. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.

COMPLIANCE - (INTERMEDIATE): - Demonstrates knowledge of the appropriate rules and regulations and applies them in difficult, stressful, and complex situations.

DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT (INTERMEDIATE): - Demonstrates mastery of equipment diagnostic tools in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully finding and resolving problems using diagnostic tools without requiring support and instruction from others.

PATIENT DOCUMENTATION - (INTERMEDIATE): - Demonstrates mastery of patient documentation in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering patient documentation services without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving technical instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.

Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program (or equivalent experience) and 1 yearof relevant experience

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):

• Registered Vascular Technologist/Sonographer (RVT/RVS) Required
• Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS) - Preferred

Travel

• Occasional: Between offices: Multiple locations; training; up to 4 days a month may be asked to work at a remote location (will be compensated for travel time).
• Frequent: May have to move between locations up to 3 times a week. This requires flexibility during training and the initial 6 months of employment: Travel will decrease significantly after the initial 6 months, as the primary location will require daily scanning.

Compensation: $40- $60+/hr. based on experience/knowledge and ability.

Salary: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00+ per year
