Mechanical Engineering Manager - Product Release

Medtronic seeks an Engineering Manager in Fridley, Minnesota to lead a mechanical engineering team supporting released Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health products. The role involves technical leadership, sustaining engineering oversight, design control processes, and cross-functional issue resolution to ensure product quality and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop team of mechanical engineers supporting released product engineering activities
- Establish priorities, allocate resources, and drive execution across multiple concurrent engineering initiatives
- Direct technical investigations, root cause analyses, CAPA activities, and product remediation efforts
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve product and process issues affecting quality and safety
- Oversee design changes and modifications through design control and change management processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3 years
- 2 years of people leadership or leading technical teams and complex engineering projects
- Experience working in regulated industry with formal design control processes
- Experience leading technical investigations and driving cross-functional issue resolution
- Engineering background in product development, mechanical design, sustaining engineering, or released product support
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Medical device industry experience with released products or sustaining engineering (preferred)
