Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit in a fast-paced, acute care environment
• Manage a diverse patient population ranging from lower to higher acuity, including medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and mid-holds
• Adapt to changing patient acuity and clinical needs throughout the shift
• Float to other units or areas within scope of competency as needed
• Holiday shifts are an expected part of this role

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical or a comparable specialty within an acute care setting
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
• Experience working in or adjacent to an Emergency Department or observation unit setting
• Comfort managing patients across a broad acuity spectrum
