CNC Machinist

CNC MachinistWe are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes in a job shop environment. This role focuses on producing custom and short-run parts, primarily from heavy steel, while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.Responsibilities:Program, edit, and set up CNC machines using Mastercam.Operate Haas mills and lathes to produce one-off and short-run parts.Select tooling, set offsets, and verify dimensions.Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools.Troubleshoot machining, setup, and programming issues.Optimize feeds, speeds, and cycle times for efficiency.Load and unload materials and maintain a safe work area.Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.Qualifications:CNC machining experience in a production or job shop environment.Proficiency with Haas mills, lathes, and Haas controls.Mastercam programming experience required.Ability to read blueprints and hold tight tolerances.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience with manual machining equipment is a plus.Knowledge of metal fabrication and machining processes.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.Why Join Us?Join a stable, employee-focused company that values craftsmanship, professional growth, and long-term success. You'll work primarily with Haas CNC mills and lathes, Mastercam software, and heavy steel materials in a safety-focused manufacturing setting.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
