As a Security Officer Armed School Campus in West Palm Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in an educational location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, verifying credentials when required and assisting with visitor directions, after-hours entry, and other security-related support functions.
• Support educational location operations by remaining prepared for changing conditions, following post orders, and communicating clearly during routine activities and/or urgent events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a CPO certification.
• Possess an armed guard card is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a minimumof 2 years law enforcement, corrections, and miltary experienced.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
