Job Title: Janitorial Worker

Pay: $18-$24 (DOE)

Hours: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm (Must be flexible with hours)

Job Description

This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility through daily janitorial duties and light facilities maintenance. You will clean offices, restrooms, breakrooms, shop floors, and outdoor areas, while also supporting basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, painting, minor cosmetic repairs, and assisting with larger maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of offices, bathrooms, breakrooms, shop floors, and outdoor areas to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Sweep floors in all work areas to remove dirt and debris, ensuring workspaces remain safe and presentable.
• Sort and separate dirt and debris into appropriate trash categories, load sorted material onto a shovel, and transfer it into a wheelbarrow.
• Push and maneuver wheelbarrows up ramps or across floor level to transport debris and dump contents into designated trash hoppers.
• Operate a forklift to safely move and dump trash hoppers into the correct dumpsters, following all safety procedures.
• Cut large cardboard containers (gaylords) using a utility knife, hand saw, or power saw, and lift and dispose of cardboard into dumpsters.
• Perform light facilities maintenance, including replacing light bulbs, painting, and completing minor cosmetic repairs as needed.
• Keep the warehouse and general work areas tidy, organized, and free of unnecessary clutter.
• Assist with larger maintenance and facility improvement projects under direction, supporting the overall upkeep of the shop and warehouse.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of janitorial work experience, including cleaning and general janitorial duties in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Proficiency in performing thorough cleaning tasks for offices, restrooms, breakrooms, shop floors, and outdoor areas.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to operate a forklift or strong willingness to learn and follow proper forklift operating procedures.
• Capability to use a hand saw and power saw for cutting cardboard and similar materials.
• Comfort with working in an industrial environment with varying temperatures while maintaining productivity

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a weld or assembly shop environment is a plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus and may support expanded responsibilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring City, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Spring City,PA.
