We are seeking an Assistant Coach for the Cross Country / Track and Field programsJOB SUMMARYAssist the Head Coach with recruiting, scouting and practice planning.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with practice and competition day management and activities for all student-athletesHelp with the planning and organization of camps and clinics as assigned.OTHER DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTSKnow and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually.Must be CPR and First Aid certified.Provide positive leadership for student-athletes.Performs other duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred.Experience:1 to 3 years of Cross Country and/ or Track and Field experience.Licenses or Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifiedFinancial Responsibility: NoneSupervision: NoneSpecial Knowledge: Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually.SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONSAbility to travel; heavy lifting required (50 pounds and over); may be required to work when the university is closed.Ability to work in less than ideal weather conditionsAbility to work nights, weekends, and some holidaysPlease note that this role is based in Arlington, VA. Position will be open until filled.COMPENSATION / TOTAL REWARDSThis is a stipend position that will be paid bi-weekly.
