Medical TechnicianPride Health is hiring a Medical Technician to support our client's healthcare facility in Worcester, MA. Job Details: Schedule: 1 day/week, 7:30 AM–3:00/5:00 PM, depending on surgery schedule. Location: Worcester, MA 01606. Job Type: Contract. Contract Length: 1 year. Pay Range: $32-$34/hr *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Responsibilities:Prepare, freeze, cut, stain, and mount tissue specimens from Mohs surgery using a cryostat.Produce accurate, high-quality frozen tissue slides for same-day margin evaluation.Operate and maintain cryostats and laboratory equipment.Properly label, track, and document specimens while maintaining chain of custody.Collaborate with the Mohs surgeon and clinical team to support efficient workflow.Maintain quality control, laboratory supplies, cleanliness, and required records.Follow HIPAA, CLIA, infection control, and laboratory safety requirements.Requirements:Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Certification(s): Completion of an approved Histo-technician (HT) training program and/or ASCP certification (HT)Years of experience: Previous Mohs histotechnology experience required.Experience preparing frozen tissue sections using a cryostat.Knowledge of histology, staining techniques, and quality control.For workers in the United States, PrideGlobal and its affiliates offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.PrideGlobal and its affiliates are an equal opportunity employer.
