Summary: Universal Representatives serve both call-in and face-to-face CU Members and potential CU Members by ensuring prompt, professional, and courteous service. Universal Representatives perform a wide variety of services for Members by being knowledgeable and efficient at executing the processing of all teller functions, opening, and closing of all deposit accounts, general problem resolution, research and follow-up, and any other functions that meet the Members daily needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a professional and timely manner.
2. Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service.
3. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products, services, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations pertaining to your job role.
4. Other duties, as assigned.

Teller 5. Receive checks and cash for deposits and loans payments, verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and place holds on accounts for uncollected funds. 6. Cash checks and process withdrawals; pay out money after verification of signature and member balances. 7. Meet teller balancing standards monthly as stated in the Teller Over & Short Procedures.

Member Service Representative 8. Open accounts for new and existing members, resolve issues, service accounts and professionally handle the member’s daily needs. 9. Cross-sell credit union services including, but not limited to, safe deposit boxes, debit and credit cards, and online banking. 10. Research accounts for deposit, withdrawal, and loan-payment discrepancies. 11. Assist members in opening individual retirement accounts (IRA). 12. Input loan applications, verify accuracy of loan amounts and repayment terms, complete loan documents and disburse loans after approved. 13. When a loan is denied, explain reasons for denial in a professional, courteous manner. Work with member to provide recommendations or alternative options for other possible ways to secure a loan in future.

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: At least 2 years recent banking experience at another financial institution.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities, Licenses, etc.: Customer service, thoroughness, confidentiality, analyzing information, decision making, professionalism, and quality focus Ability to communicate well, verbally or written, with co-workers, customers, community members and management. Ability to comply with company and industry operating, safety standards, rules and regulations.

Physical Requirements: Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Ability to demonstrate and apply manual dexterity to operate office equipment and handling of cash. Ability to view computer monitor or laptop screen for extended periods of time. Ability to work with confidential information, materials, and files appropriately, professionally, & discretely.

Working Conditions: Office Environment Ability to adapt easily to changing work schedules. Travel to branches may be required.
