What You'll Do Process medication refill requests according to established clinical protocols Review patient records to verify medications, dosages, allergies, diagnoses, and pharmacy information Assist with prior authorizations and specialty medication documentation Communicate with pharmacies regarding prescriptions, refill status, and clarifications Contact patients when additional information is needed to complete refill or authorization requests Document all activities accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) Escalate medication-related concerns to the appropriate clinical staff Collaborate with providers, nurses, and support staff to ensure timely patient care Qualifications Medical Assistant Certification required Minimum 2 years of experience working in a medical office Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Experience with medication refills, prior authorizations, or prescription processing is highly preferred Why You'll Love This Opportunity Strong training and development program Opportunity to gain specialized healthcare experience Clear path for career growth and advancement Supportive leadership and team-oriented culture Modern, centralized office environment Long-term opportunity with potential for permanent employment Work Environment This position is fully on-site in Lakewood, Colorado. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
