Data Center Cable TechnicianWe are currently seeking a technician that will be a critical member of a U.S.-based global systems integrator providing technology solutions and services for commercial and government clients. This is a contract role with the potential to become a permanent position with our key client with multiple data center locations across the Columbus, OH area.ResponsibilitiesWill execute cable pulling methods on datacenter installation projectsExecute tasks by following specifications provided by team leadershipLearn and execute in a fast-paced environmentPerform duties utilizing industry best practice and emphasize safety standards and guidelinesMaintain an outstanding record of attendance and on-time reporting for workThink strategically and demonstrate leadership skillsProvide great customer service and deliver projects according to the customer's expectationsTravel to the different locations in the Columbus areaQualifications0-3 years of relevant industry experienceThe ability to understand project specifications and execute assigned tasksBasic knowledge of power and hand toolsSuccessful track record of problem solving and troubleshootingDemonstrated ability to be on time and punctual on a consistent basisMust have dependable transportation to reach multiple data center locations.Must pass a background check and drug screening.Must complete video safety and job training required before the start date.Must be able to lift 25 pounds, climb ladders, stand on feet for extended periodsPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: Electric Nippers, Gloves, Hard Hat (assistance provided if needed)Required attire: Khaki pants/clean jeans, polo or button down casual shirtAttributesAbility to work independent of direct supervisionMust be detail oriented and analyticalProcess and compliance focused with emphasis on safetySelf-starter with the desire to learn and excelMaintain a positive mentality and professional demeanorExcellent people skills, customer oriented, willingness to help othersWillingness to travel to various locations in the Columbus areaEducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredMust be authorized to work in the United StatesBICSI and industry certifications - preferredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands of this position are those that are necessary to meet the responsibilities and essential functions of this position.Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The ability to lift various items is required, as well as to stand for long periods of time and climb ladders.Work AuthorizationMust be a US citizenBackground Check/Drug Screening RequiredMust pass a background investigation, a 10-panel drug test, and driver's license check PSI (Proteam Solutions)
