Accountant

Accounting PositionWe are looking for a highly motivated individual to perform a variety of accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory management, and inter-company balancing. This position collaborates closely with the Division Manager, Controller, Yard Managers, Corporate Accounting, and Divisional Accounting personnel. The successful candidate will also engage in system conversion opportunities.ResponsibilitiesRecord journal entriesComplete account reconciliationsPerform financial statement review and analysisReconcile inter-company transactionsMonitor and participate in perpetual inventory activitiesAssist with internal and external audit requestsAssist with other daily and month-end accounting functions, as neededQualificationsRequired4-Year Accounting degreeAt least 3 years of accounting experienceAbility to work in a team environmentProficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointAccounting software knowledge – experience with RIMAS a plusStrong oral and written communication skillsPreferredActive CPASteel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
