Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for a utility location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions related to utility operations. Monitor entry points, restricted areas, and sensitive infrastructure while following post orders, reporting procedures, and security‑related policies for an armed patrol post. Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible presence, preparing clear incident reports, and assisting with security‑related concerns in a professional manner. Minimum Requirements: Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
