Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Services in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Position Type & Pay Full Time Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour Job Schedule Tue 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM Wed 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM Thur 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM Sun 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and activities according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and verify entry permissions for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures. Support day‑to‑day operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with directions and information, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
