Seeking full time Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience.

Work collaboratively with our team of project managers, engineers, and designers to create high quality designs for a variety of clients/projects. Successful candidates will have creative problem-solving skills, strong organizational habits, and a commitment to client service. We are seeking candidates with a thirst for applying and advancing their skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Registered Professional Engineer (PE) - Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university

Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.)

Experience in the design and detailing of steel, wood, concrete and masonry structures

Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit

Proficiency with structural design software such as RAM Structural Systems, Enercalc, STAADPro, etc.

Ability to develop specifications for projects and review shop drawings

Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff

Provide project specific technical information to the PM for project specs

Visit project sites to review conditions as appropriate

Experience with structural evaluations, adaptive reuse, and rehabilitation projects involving historic buildings, unreinforced masonry, heavy timber, riveted steel, and other legacy construction systems preferred

Maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients

Serve as a representative of the company at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews to assigned projects

Excellent written and communication skills

Self-motivated and eager to design and teach others
