This acute care hospital provides cardiothoracic surgical services to an adult patient population within an on-site operating room setting. The facility maintains established clinical infrastructure and protocols to support quality surgical care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period. On-site resources are in place to facilitate coordinated care for the cardiothoracic surgery service line.

The Kentucky region offers a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. The area features conservation areas with raptor encounters, historic museums documenting iron, logging, and railroad industries, and a natural sandstone arch standing 65 feet high and 78 feet long within a 2,200-acre park that provides dining, camping, hiking, and fishing. Visitors may also explore a pedestrian bridge spanning approximately half a mile with views of the Ohio River and surrounding communities, an aquarium featuring shark exhibits and interactive experiences, and walkable venues with retail, dining, and family activities. Live music events and historic walking tours are held on weekends through the summer months.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage in an on-site operating room setting, with call and 24-hour call responsibilities required as a condition of this assignment. During the week, the OR operates from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with clinicians assisting surgeons in the OR. Weekend call consists of rounding combined with first call responsibilities. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the EPIC EMR system.
