The Desktop and Network Support Technician serves as the primary point of contact for corporate clients requiring assistance with desktop, software, hardware, and network-related technology issues. This role demands a proactive, positive attitude and the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve problems while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. The technician works closely within a team under the direction of the IT Manager, providing support both remotely and onsite with occasional regional travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktop and network-related issues across hardware and software platforms
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure components including routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
• Manage user accounts, security groups, and group policies within Active Directory environments
• Administer Microsoft 365 environments and assist with mobile device support including iOS and Android
• Document support activities and technical solutions clearly and thoroughly
• Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in-person to resolve issues promptly
• Provide onsite technical assistance as needed and participate in occasional regional travel

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in IT support roles
• Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and router/firewall configuration
• Strong skills in hardware troubleshooting and technical documentation
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and customer service communication skills
• Knowledge of mobile device management not required but is a plus
