Degrees in Optics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering are ideal for this role. 5+ years of experience in optical design, lens characterization, and system integration.Proficiency with optical design tools such as ZEMAX, CODE V, or equivalent software.Deep understanding of CCD and CMOS sensor architectures and performance characteristics.Strong knowledge of image quality metrics, optical materials, and manufacturing processes.Expertise in lens design, including tolerance analysis and stray light mitigation.Familiarity with optical test equipment and methodologies.Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++. Key skills: Proven ability to analyze and improve ISP architecture and performance metrics.Experience working in interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrated optical solutions.Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to innovation. Who we are: Applied Concepts is a 49-year-old, 250-person privately owned company, located in Richardson, Texas.
