Registered NurseFairview is looking for an upbeat and energetic Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Ortho Spine team at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. If you enjoy variety, teamwork, and professional growth, we'd love to have you join our team!Our patient population can include:Orthopedic/spine surgical patients, including planned surgeries and trauma patients coming from the ED (for example, a patient who has fallen at home and requires a hip replacement)Dementia and confused patientsAlcohol withdrawalPneumonia and COPDUTIs and pancreatitisWounds and cellulitisOsteoarthritis and lumbar disc herniationFailure to thriveOccasional palliative/hospice patientsSchedule: This position is a .6 FTE, working 48 hours per 2-week pay period. This position works 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), and on the night 7:00pm-7:30am shift.The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines, and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.Collaborates with patient, family, and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of careDevelops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition, and other relevant needs.Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family, and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health careDemonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.Promotes a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP)Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:Current MN RN LicenseBLS required.Preferred:BSN or BAN1 – 3 years of RN acute care experienceFairview offers a generous benefit package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
