Per Diem IPUThe RN is responsible for the planning and delivery of patient care, providing skilled nursing care and oversight in accordance with policies and the Florida Nurse Practice Act, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. To provide a combination of skilled professional nursing tasks and provide palliative and supportive care to the patient and family unit.QualificationsCurrent and active Florida RN license.Must be Certified Hospice and Palliative Registered Nurse (CHPN) within 12 months.Current and valid Florida driver's license and automobile insurance.Current CPR certification required.Minimum of one year RN experience where physical assessment skills were utilized.Prior experience in oncology, home health, Hospice or palliative care setting is preferred.Must be able to handle sensitive issues appropriately using sound judgment, maintain professional boundaries, and maintain confidentiality.Must be able to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work.Must be self-directed and able to work independently in the field.Basic computer skills and EMR software experience preferred.Per Diem works at least one weekend per month.Attendance is a condition of employment.ExpectationsParticipate in departmental specific initiatives including but not limited to performance improvement projects, staff meeting attendance, employee training and development.Contribute to program development strategies for Treasure Coast Hospice, in an organized, routine capacity that will enable the cohesion of team developments.Work collaboratively with other departments, demonstrate and encourage leadership for a comprehensive approach to program development.Demonstrate effective communication with patients, families, and team members.Inspire staff to live the Treasure Coast Hospice's Mission, to achieve its Vision, and demonstrate our Values and Commitment.
