Night-Shift Patient Care Technician (PCT) - Rehab

Job Title Patient Care Technician (PCT) – Rehab Location Detroit, Michigan – DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan Position Details Full‑time, ongoing. 40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts. Night shift. Responsibilities The Patient Care Associate (PCA) is a member of the patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi‑skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. The PCA works under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and PCA skills and abilities. Typical duties include, but are not limited to, transporting patients, specimens and/or supplies, and reporting all deviations from expected patient parameters. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Completion of one of the following: a. Certified PCA/PCT Program; b. Certified Nurse Assistant Program or equivalent; c. Medical Assistant Program; d. EMT program; e. Phlebotomy training program. At least 2 years of work experience as a patient care associate/tech in an inpatient setting. Six (6) months of direct patient care experience preferred.
