Connect Staffing is hiring an Electrical / Mechanical Assembler for a manufacturing plant in Spartanburg, SC. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $18/hr, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime. In this role, you will assemble trailers and install accessories on generators and compressors, cut and prepare wiring and wire harnesses, and secure units using hand tools on the production floor.

Pay: $18/hr

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM, plus mandatory overtime and some Saturdays.

Location: Spartanburg, SC

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory - the facility is non-climate-controlled.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to build products to specification.
• Inspect finished assemblies for defects and report findings to the quality department and plant supervisor.
• Maintain production logs and records for output, equipment upkeep, and product discrepancies.
• Transport units between production, Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), mounting, and staging areas.
• Keep workstation and surrounding area clean and organized to company standards.

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in an assembly, manufacturing, or production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience assembling trailers, generators, compressors, or similar mechanical equipment.
• Hands-on experience cutting, routing, and preparing wiring or wire harnesses.
• Familiarity with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, ratchets, and power drivers.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for production logging and documentation.
• Experience conducting basic quality inspections or working alongside a QA department.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools in a professional assembly or manufacturing setting

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Drug screen required.

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift.
• Steel toe shoes required (employee-provided).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
