- Conduct in-depth evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods.
- Craft tailored treatment strategies that correspond to both immediate needs and long-range communication or swallowing goals.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on various aspects of speech, language, fluency, and swallowing.
- Work closely with a dedicated team of occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to implement integrated care plans.
- Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and their families to extend progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and collaboration to stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatments applicable to all ages, with sound knowledge of both developmental and acquired communication disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Adept at customizing therapeutic interventions to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong analytical thinking and clinical decision-making capabilities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and compliant documentation practices.
