Water/Wastewater Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex water, wastewater and infrastructure projects from feasibility through to completion. This role will involve managing project scope, programme, budget, quality, risk and compliance, while coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, clients and other stakeholders. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual, regulatory and environmental requirements.


Key responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining project execution plans, budgets, schedules, procurement strategies and risk registers; monitoring progress and performance; managing variations, change control and commercial matters; and providing clear, timely reports to senior management and clients. You will lead design reviews, construction planning, commissioning and handover activities, while identifying opportunities to improve operational performance and project outcomes. The role will also require effective resolution of technical, programme and contractual issues, as well as strong collaboration with site teams and external partners. A consistent focus on health, safety, environmental protection and quality assurance will be essential.


Applicants should have demonstrable experience managing water or wastewater projects, ideally within treatment, networks, utilities or civil engineering environments. A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in civil engineering, project management, construction or a related discipline is required. You should be confident managing multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder relationships, with sound knowledge of construction contracts, project controls, risk management and relevant industry standards. Strong communication, negotiation, organisation and decision-making skills are essential, together with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure. Professional accreditation or recognised project management certification would be advantageous.
