Hospitality Valet Attendant – Luxury Hotels, Resorts & Events Department: Valet Parking Operations Reports to: Guest Service Coordinator Schedule: Full Time / Part Time Status: Non-Exempt Compensation: Valet hourly pay plus tips (average $13–$20+ per hour, rates vary by market) Position Summary As a Valet Attendant you are the first impression and final goodbye for our guests. You will safely park and retrieve vehicles while delivering exceptional customer service with energy, confidence, and attention to detail. Working outdoors in a fast‑paced hospitality environment, you will create a welcoming, professional experience from arrival to departure. Primary Objective Provide courteous, efficient, and safe valet services while ensuring the security of all vehicles. This includes greeting guests, managing drop‑off and retrieval, controlling traffic flow, and addressing inquiries professionally. Valet Attendants follow company policies, operate vehicles with care, and contribute to a seamless, high‑quality guest experience. Duties and Responsibilities Vehicle Inspections Conduct vehicle damage inspections and document parking locations on claim tickets. Safety Safely and efficiently park and retrieve guest vehicles while adhering to key‑handling procedures and all safety protocols. Compliance Maintain attendance and time‑keeping compliance, including clocking in/out for shifts and breaks and reporting tips accurately. Housekeeping Keep valet areas clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Customer Service & Teamwork Handle challenging situations professionally, resolve problems promptly, and support colleagues to maintain a positive team environment. Attendance and Professionalism Maintain regular attendance, adhere to company policies, and uphold uniform and grooming standards before clocking in. Additional Responsibilities Perform other tasks as needed to support the company’s operational goals, attend required staff meetings, and complete assigned training modules on time. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education & Experience High school diploma or GED; customer service experience preferred. A willing, helpful demeanor is mandatory. Certificates & Licenses A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, a clean motor‑vehicle record (no more than three moving violations in three years), and a clean background check are required. Hospitality, Customer Service & Communication Provide exceptional guest service through professional communication, active listening, and personalized assistance. Organization Support & Adaptability Follow company policies and procedures, adapt to changing work environments, and manage competing demands effectively. Dependability & Safety Demonstrate reliability by following instructions, maintaining schedules, and ensuring timely completion of tasks while following safety procedures. Physical Demands & Work Environment Stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods in varied weather conditions. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Cell Phone Use Employees may be required to use personal cell phones for work‑related communication with team members and managers. Reimbursement follows company policy.
