ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in critical care nursing and demonstrate the ability to manage complex patient situations.

Shift and Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling options available
• Full and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule
• Holiday requirements apply

Unit Overview

• Unit Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
• Number of Beds: 10
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Common Diagnoses: Abdomen Pain, Chest Pain, Fever, Cough, Dyspnea, Headache, Injury, Extremity Pain, Insulin drips

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, and specialized medications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including hospitalists and intensivists
• May be required to float within different acuity levels such as PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• May assist as a CNA when needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Ability to read telemetry strips (telemetry tech available 24/7 to support)
• Strong clinical skills and experience in nursing critical care environments

Additional Information

• Orientation and unit-specific training provided
• No nurse aids present in the unit
• Respiratory therapists available in ICU 24/7
• Uniform: Navy Blue scrubs required
