Locum Surgical NP/PA

Schedule:

• Variable schedule.
• Must be available September 28 – October 9 , with additional coverage throughout the assignment.
• Weekend call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM (1–2 weekends per month).
• Weekend rounds: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
• Opportunity for 4 weeknight call shifts per month (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
• Orientation preferred the week before October 1.

Position Highlights:

• Surgical First Assist in the OR combined with Medical/Surgical floor coverage.
• Work primarily with General Surgery, Orthopedics, and OB/GYN.
• Weekend call may include C-sections and hip fracture cases.
• Robotics experience required.
• Orthopedic experience strongly preferred.
• EMR: Epic.

Responsibilities:

• First assist during surgical procedures.
• Patient rounding, progress notes, consults, order management, and discharges.
• Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to provide inpatient care.

Requirements:

• Active New York NP or PA License.
• Board Certified.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical First Assist experience.
• Robotics experience required.
• Epic experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ATLS.
• Strong communication skills.
