Machine Operator I - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities Operate various machines to manufacture products from roll of paper to finished sealed bag according to size tolerance and specifications. Ensure that the Manufacturing Order (MO) schedule is followed and provide accurate production reporting. Maintain a clean, organized web tracking workspace and ensure tools and materials are staged ahead of schedule. Complete changeovers with team members to transition from one MO to the next, keeping in accordance with scheduling needs and changes. Operate and monitor machines in accordance with established procedures, checking for proper web tracking, ink circulation, machine operations, and other irregularities. Organize work area in a clean and efficient manner, performing processes according to established standards, productivity levels, housekeeping, and safety requirements outlined in the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). Work with press attendants and material handlers to order and maintain inventory control of inks, glues, and other raw materials as required. Inform supervisor of operating deviations or mechanical problems when they occur and propose machine modifications and upgrades to improve production and quality. Perform all operations safely in accordance with OSHA laws, company policies, and JHA, while maintaining a consistent production measure in accordance with all work instructions and manufacturing orders. Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor and management staff.
