Responsibilities

• Draw blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.
• Prepare and process laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring accuracy and specimen integrity.
• Explain procedures to patients and foster an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and patient interactions.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure and professional environment.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and a focus on process excellence in daily tasks.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, managing time effectively to meet scheduling needs.
• Collaborate with team members to promote a positive image of the healthcare facility.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Minimum of 6 months of direct phlebotomy experience required; over 1 year preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments is a plus.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
• Reliable personal transportation; must be within 20-25 minutes of the worksite.
• Must be available to work scheduled shifts, be punctual, and remain for the entire shift without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
