We offer a friendly, professional atmosphere with excellent benefits and a salary commensurate with experience.Job DescriptionThis role is to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design of street and highway drainage facilities including but not limited to storm drain systems, culverts, retention/detention basins, ditches, and channels. This position will require experience in preparing and supervising final design tasks including plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Responsibilities will also include marketing local agencies, design criteria compliance, quality control for transportation, and public works drainage.DutiesResponsible for the completion of drainage-engineering project elements such as reports, designs, specifications, and plansProvides technical guidance to less experienced Engineers/EIT'sWorks closely with other disciplines and multi-discipline projectsConducts design and constructability reviews of plansProvides support for final design review and quality assurance/controlCoordinates design development and assists in providing technical directionProvides technical expertise in project aspectsWorks in collaboration with other offices within the companyWork independently and supervise others to prepare final design plans and specifications, perform advanced hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, write and assemble drainage reportsExperience working in a team environment is very importantShould have the ability to take and to give design direction depending upon role on a given projectJob Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills)Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or a related fieldMinimum Three (3) years of design experience for CA role.P.E, Registration required in the jurisdiction of the position or ability to obtain within 6 months of hireIntegrity and Highly MotivatedWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microstation, Openroads, and AutoCADRiver mechanics, erosion and scour calculations, and sediment transport training/experience a plusExperience using Project Wise or other file management/file-sharing software is a plusKnowledge of standard hydraulic and hydrology software is a plus (i.e. InRoads Storm and Sanitary, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), FLO-2D, HY-8, QGIS, StormCAD, SWMM)Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrierCompetencies (To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies)Communicative – interacts openly with others; can maintain relationships, works well independently or with a team.Consultative - Consults with other disciplines as needed; tolerates different perspectives or opinions.Decisive & Action Oriented - Has a high level of energy and stamina; gets things done; makes sound educated but rapid decisions even when short of information; enjoys managing challenging projects and works well in fast-paced and pressure environments.
