Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PICU RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PICU RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to critically ill infants and children while adhering to the highest standards of nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Monitor and manage patients' vital signs and medical equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families regarding care procedures and health maintenance.
• Participate in patient care rounds and contribute to care modifications as necessary.
• May be required to float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs.

Shift Information

• Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).
• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
• Availability for 3 weekends per six-week schedule.
• Time off requests can be approved for 40 hours, excluding the first 2 weeks of the contract.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
• Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
