What We're Looking For

Experience & Education

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Level I Technician working with Okuma spindles and/or mechanical sub-systems, including cleaning, disassembly, inspection, and testing — or equivalent practical experience

General

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-driven environment
• Comfortable and effective in a fast-paced, production-focused setting
• Strong attention to detail with a natural aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving

Technical

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices
• Familiarity with forklift operation and crane inspection/operation (training provided as needed)
• Ability to read, understand, and work from assembly drawings and part prints
• Comfortable with basic computer use, including email, timekeeping systems, and internal business tools

Communication

• Clear and professional verbal communication skills
• Strong listening skills and the ability to document work accurately and thoroughly

Math & Reasoning

• Ability to analyze problems, collect and interpret data, and reach sound conclusions
• Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions
• Adaptable, proactive, and willing to take initiative in a changing work environment

Physical & Work Environment Expectations

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and reach for the majority of the work shift
• Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 70 pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching
• Continuous use of hands for detailed assembly work and tool operation
• Visual acuity sufficient for close-range mechanical and inspection work (corrected or uncorrected)

Work Environment

• Primarily based in a warehouse/showroom environment
• Exposure to varying temperatures, industrial equipment, forklift traffic, and moderate to high noise levels
• Regular use of PPE when working around cleaners, solvents, and aerosol paints
• Occasional work in an office setting with standard equipment
