Occupational Therapist (Per Diem) – Subacute Rehabilitation (In-House)

Location: Longhorn Village, 12001 Longhorn Parkway, Austin, TX 78732

Position Summary:
Longhorn Village is seeking a skilled and compassionate Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. This role is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs that help residents regain independence and improve quality of life following illness, injury, or surgery. Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents’ functional abilities, including ADLs (activities of daily living), cognitive function, and mobility
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical needs
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, endurance, and independence
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including PTs, SLPs, nursing staff, and physicians
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and facility standards
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications as needed
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and professional guidelines

Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of Texas
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Minimum of 1 year experience in subacute, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Schedule:

• Per diem / PRN (as needed)
• Flexible scheduling based on facility needs, including weekday and weekend coverage
