RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule is 3 shifts per week including weekdays and some weekends
• Patient ratio typically 1:4, may flex to 1:5 during emergencies
• 13-week contract with possible extension
• 8 hours of orientation required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1.5-2+ years of nursing experience required
• 1 year MS/Tele experience and 2 years Stepdown experience required
• Must be proficient in IV starts, telemetry, and strip reading
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, and cardiac drips
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system required
• Skills include managing dysrhythmias, vasoactive drips, pre/post cardiac procedures, and wound care
• Dress code requires burgundy and/or white scrubs (not provided)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with varying acuity levels
• Block scheduling available for weekends only (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon)
• Holiday time off requests limited to no more than 2 of 4 major holidays

Facility:

This medical center operates a 36-bed stepdown/immediate care unit with a daily census of 34 patients. The facility specializes in cardiac care, serving patients who have undergone cardiac surgery or interventional cardiology procedures, along with other medical/surgical and general medical patients. The unit provides progressive care with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The healthcare organization maintains high standards for patient care and offers modern medical technology and equipment.
