Salary: $75,000 annual salary
Position Objective:
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting, hiring, and interviewing employees, administering benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. These duties will be performed with a focus on balancing the needs of the organization and the needs of the employee with demonstrated compassion, accountability, and a people-focused approach.
Essential Duties:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Provide timely payroll information including authorized and accurate timecards
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire, employee satisfaction score, and employee turnover rates
- Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations
- Other duties as requested.
Essential Skills:
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office

Education:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or 5+ years of relevant experience.
Work Environment:
Office environment with fluorescent lighting and climate-controlled temperature. Occasional to frequent exposure to dust, lint, and other irritants generated by the sorting and handling of donated goods. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Infrequent nontraditional (nights and weekends) hours. Some instances of short deadlines and fast paced situations or demands. Occasional travel within territory and occasional travel for training.
