Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects Oversee work by taking responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans, and construction estimates Communicate and coordinate with 3rd parties and the project team to aid in the design process and schedule Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects Participate in project coordination meetings, and activities ranging from feasibility studies to construction plan development Assume some project management duties and interact with clients Perform other duties as needed Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design Professional Engineer (PE) license Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer Proficiency with MS Office Suite Excellent communication and organizational skills Experience should include urban and rural corridors, interstate, interchange intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans Preference is given to local candidates Positive attitude and commitment to being an advocate of the Holt team **Holt Consulting is an Equal Opportunity Employer** South Carolina Department of Transportation Holt Consulting has been given numerous assignments varying in scope, scale, and complexity.
