Human Resources Compliance Specialist (On-site)

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an HR Compliance Specialist at our Headquarters Service Center in Warren, OH. Responsibilities Conduct pre-employment compliance audits to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations Apply working knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards to daily HR operations Process pre-employment clearances, including background checks and required screenings Communicate screening results to appropriate internal partners in a timely and confidential manner Maintain and update employee personnel files in accordance with compliance requirements Collaborate on HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and ensure compliance Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (3+ years in HR preferred) Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and human resource information systems (HRIS) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related systems Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills Benefits A family culture and atmosphere Competitive compensation Health, dental, vision, and life insurance for full-time team members 401(k) with generous company match Paid vacations and holidays Immense training and growth opportunities We conduct pre-employment drug testing.
