Clinical Education Coordinator

Job Summary Provides administrative support to the department, such as managing calendars, answering phone calls, creating routine and confidential correspondence, drafting reports and presentations, and arranging meetings and conferences. Schedules rotations and clinic hours for members, and may arrange extracurricular activities. Counsels current and incoming residents on administrative issues such as scheduling, rotation requirements, benefits, and leave. Coordinates activities related to recruitment, including events, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and orientation for candidates. Maintains ongoing documentation with respect to accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility. Implements program improvement projects from initiation to execution. Offers recommendations to improve program administration and/or the overall quality of care. Participates in the planning and development of academic and clinical requirements to ensure that all accreditation standards are maintained. Qualifications Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education. EDUCATION Required High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED) WORK EXPERIENCE Required 4 years experience in administration, office management, or program coordination Preferred Experience in a clinical or academic setting SKILLS Required Proficient written and verbal communication skills Maintains a high degree of professionalism Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills Demonstrates a high commitment to quality Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment Highly thorough and dependable Possesses a high degree of initiative Ability to build strong customer relationships Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
