Location: Hyattsville, MD (100% Onsite)

Duration: Long-term contract with potential for conversion

Overview

Apex Systems is partnering with a leading government services organization who is seeking a Field Technician to support a federal end-user environment . This role provides hands-on technical support and troubleshooting, ensuring reliable IT operations in a fast-paced, service-driven setting. Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to users via phone, email, and ticketing systems
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across devices
• Support Windows 10/11 environments and Microsoft Office 365 applications
• Manage Active Directory tasks (user creation, password resets, access management)
• Resolve remote access and VPN issues (including virtual environments)
• Support desktops, laptops, mobile devices (iOS/Android), and printers
• Document and track incidents while meeting SLA requirements in a high-volume environment

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT support or help desk experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking issues
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Office 365
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and SLA-driven environments
• Knowledge of Active Directory and basic networking concepts
• Ability to support both local and remote users
• High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Skills

• Experience troubleshooting VPNs and remote desktop environments
• Familiarity with virtual desktop or remote access tools
• Experience supporting Mac devices
• Strong customer service and communication skills
