**The Role**

This is a high-visibility, operationally focused role centered right at the deli counter. You will drive our daily sandwich execution and meat-slicing operations while directly engaging with every guest who walks through the door.

While your core focus is mastering deli prep and service, you won't be stuck behind the counter all day. You'll jump in to support the floor as a food runner and barback—with a structured opportunity to **cross-train and advance into a Bartender role** as you master our team operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

* **Deli Counter Execution:** Safely operate commercial meat slicers with speed and precision. Prep ingredients, manage inventory flow at the station, and build classic deli sandwiches to exact quality standards.
* **Guest Interaction & Engagement:** Greet guests warmly, answer questions about menu items, make recommendations, and take orders with confidence and enthusiasm.
* **Floor & Bar Support:** Assist with food running, clear tables, and support the bar area by stocking ice, glassware, and garnishes during peak hours.
* **Growth & Cross-Training:** Learn our beverage program and shadow the bartending team to prepare for shift-coverage and promotion opportunities down the road.

**Hours & Availability Requirements**

Our operating hours are **10:00 AM to 10:00 PM** daily. Candidates must have:

* **Open Shift Availability:** Flexibility to work both **AM (prep/opening)** and **PM (closing)** shifts.
* **Weekend Availability:** Required for high-volume Friday–Sunday shifts.

**Qualifications**

* **Deli Experience:** Practical experience operating a commercial meat slicer and working in a fast-paced deli or kitchen prep environment.
* **Outgoing Personality:** Highly communicative, proactive, and comfortable interacting with guests in a lively setting.
* **Strong Multitasker:** Ability to pivot smoothly between precision sandwich-making and fast-paced floor support.
* **Career-Minded:** Interested in cross-training into bartending and growing within our hospitality team.
