Organization Minnesota Carlson School of Management - University of Minnesota Posted 27 Jan 2026 Job Description & Qualification The University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management is seeking qualified applicants at the rank of Lecturer for one position in the Accounting Department. This is a one-year, temporary position from August 31, 2026, through May 30, 2027. Duties & Responsibilities TEACHING ACTIVITIES: Candidates will undertake high-quality teaching in the areas of accounting and data analytics. Candidates will teach fourteen credits in the 2026-2027 academic year. Teaching assignments will be either at the undergraduate or graduate level. RESEARCH ACTIVITIES: Candidates are expected to engage in high quality, academic research activities that build on their doctoral training and prepare them for an independent career. SERVICE ACTIVITIES: Candidates will take part in the full range of departmental; School and University service activities appropriate to rank. Required Qualifications Candidates must have a terminal degree (PhD in Accounting or a related discipline) OR Master’s degree plus 5 years of related industry and/or academic experience. The tenure-track faculty teach accounting courses to undergraduate and masters’ level students, and accounting research seminars to PhD students. The faculty conducts empirical/archival and theoretical/analytical research in accounting and related disciplines. Additional Information Pay and Benefits Pay Range: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
