Responsibilities
- Material Preparation: Measure, cut, and prepare materials for welding according to specifications.
- Assembly: Assemble components and parts using various hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Welding Support: Assist welders by setting up welding equipment and ensuring all materials are ready for the welding process.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Technical Drawings: Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand assembly requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues during the assembly process.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on assembly equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Documentation: Document and report any deviations from standard processes or product issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Look for ways to improve the manufacturing process and drive the changes needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or manufacturing is preferred.
- Previous experience in welding, assembly, or a related field.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and exposure to orbital welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
