Civil Litigation AttorneyA well-established boutique law firm in Seattle is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 6+ years of civil litigation experience who is comfortable managing matters through the litigation process with guidance from experienced attorneys.The ideal candidate will have strong motion practice experience and the ability to take ownership of cases while working collaboratively with the firm's attorneys and clients.The OpportunityManage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution with appropriate attorney supervisionMeet directly with clients to understand legal issues, evaluate claims, and develop litigation strategiesConduct legal research and analyze case law, evidence, depositions, and witness testimonyDraft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documentsManage all aspects of discovery, including written discovery and document reviewTake and defend depositions of parties, experts, and third-party witnessesAppear at hearings and advocate on behalf of clientsParticipate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and trialsDevelop case strategy and work closely with clients throughout the litigation processTake increasing responsibility for matters while working within a collaborative team environmentQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive membership and good standing with the Washington State Bar3+ years of civil litigation experienceStrong motion practice experience is requiredExperience handling matters through multiple stages of litigationDeposition and courtroom experienceAbility to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing prioritiesComfortable working independently while collaborating with experienced attorneysCompensation & BenefitsGenerous bonus opportunityMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchingThree weeks of paid vacationWhy This OpportunityThis is an opportunity to join a boutique litigation practice where attorneys have the opportunity to work directly with clients and take meaningful responsibility for their cases.The firm offers sophisticated civil litigation work, a collaborative environment, and the opportunity for an experienced attorney to continue developing their practice while maintaining a high level of client interaction and courtroom involvement.
