We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Nursing Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator to work closely with nursing leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient staffing across all nursing departments. Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Staffing Operations

• Work directly with the Director of Nursing to create and maintain schedules for all nursing departments
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet census demands and regulatory requirements
• Proactively fill open shifts using internal staffing resources and creative scheduling strategies
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to support staffing needs and operational efficiency
• Monitor schedule changes, call-offs, and coverage needs in real time

Administrative & Organizational Support

• Maintain accurate scheduling records and staffing documentation
• Develop and maintain systems that improve scheduling efficiency and compliance
• Demonstrate professionalism and discretion when handling employee and staffing information
• Support a positive workplace culture through clear communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Scheduler, Staffing Coordinator, or similar role in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility required
• High school diploma required; some college preferred
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Computer literate and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Familiarity with staffing regulations and healthcare scheduling requirements preferred
