Sr Financial Planning Analyst

Duration - 6+ months, Contract, W-2

Location - Irvine, CA

Pay - $74 - $79.31 an hour

Responsibilities:

• Develops/initiates and delivers moderate to complex strategic financial analysis to support business operations and decisions
• Analyzes financial and business information and key drivers at a business unit or functional level to assess business issues, draw conclusions and provide recommendations for determining courses of action.
• Develops, delivers and assesses the fiscal year plan and forecasts for a business unit or function as well as multiyear financial projects
• Supports the annual budgeting process with analysis, reporting, and financial modeling
• Develops and delivers moderate to complex business management reports and key financial metrics, including recurring financial analysis
• Performs ad hoc financial analysis

Skills:

• Financial modeling, variance analysis, financial reporting (budget, actuals, forecast), capex/opex understanding, HC/workforce/vendors/contractors expense management.
• Nice to have: tech industry knowledge (e.g., Cloud, Infra, FinOps, AI).
• Tools: SAP/S4/Hana, SAC, PBI, very strong in excel.

3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related function.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related degree. MBA is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills.

Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLookups, etc) and experience with an enterprise accounting system (such as SAP).

Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to understand the impact of operations on financial results

Able to critically analyze situations and solve problems effectively.

Well organized with a proven ability of successfully juggling multiple tasks and a strong track record of meeting deadlines.

Demonstrates analytical skills in areas of high complexity and ambiguity.

Experience in analyzing complex financial reports.

General knowledge of mutual funds or experience in the investment management industry is preferred.

Strong communication skills and ability to effectively partner with the global finance team.
