VHS is looking for an OB/GYN Hospitalist for Waterbury, Connecticut!
Program Details

Program Start Date: 2-1-18
12 or 24 Hour Shifts: 24
Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes
Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions: Occasionally
Hospitalists Needed for First Assist: Yes
First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: Yes Staffphysicians
Hospitalists to Backup Midwives: Yes
Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice: Yes
Backup Available to the Hospitalists: Yes, staff physicians

NICU Level: II
Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.): 100
Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (monthly): 10
Estimated Patient Encounters for Hospitalists (not including deliveries) (monthly): MFM onsite? Yes, but limited
Residency Program & Type? No
In-house Anesthesia? Yes, but on call at night
Other notes: St. Mary s is part of Trinity Health System of New England. This hospital wants its OB Department to be state-of-the-art, providing greater patient safety, higher quality of care and back-up to the staff physicians.
