Data Analyst

Our client, the U.S.’s largest commercial real estate services firm, is seeking a Data Analyst to join its Advisory Data & Research team in Richardson, TX . This contract-to-hire role is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys transforming complex data into meaningful business insights while partnering closely with product managers, engineers, and executive leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, improving data quality, and delivering analytics solutions that drive business outcomes across the organization. Schedule is hybrid , Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex commercial real estate datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and business insights
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and business stakeholders to define analytical requirements and key performance metrics
• Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools
• Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources
• Partner with engineering and data teams to improve data quality, governance, and reporting reliability
• Conduct user research and gather stakeholder feedback to improve reporting solutions and analytics products
• Monitor data integrity, investigate anomalies, and resolve data quality issues
• Present findings, recommendations, and performance updates to executive leadership and business stakeholders
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement sessions, user testing, and product rollouts
• Maintain reporting documentation, analytical methodologies, and data governance standards
• Provide regular updates to leadership on project status, business trends, and key metrics
• Leverage AI tools and modern analytics platforms to improve efficiency and generate deeper business insights

Required Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Strong experience analyzing large datasets and translating findings into actionable business recommendations
• Experience with commercial real estate data
• Strong SQL skills and experience building reports and dashboards
• Experience working with business stakeholders, product teams, and executive leadership
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present findings to C-suite executives
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience utilizing AI tools to support analysis, reporting, and business decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar business intelligence tools
• Experience with Python or R for analytics and automation
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or modern data warehousing platforms
• Experience with data modeling, governance, and data quality initiatives
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments
