Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years License: RN Licensure required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Neuro/post-stroke acute care Dysphagia screenings Stroke assessments BCMA Time management Interdisciplinary communication Description: This position involves providing care in a medical/surgical setting with a focus on neuro acute care. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:6. General hospital equipment for an acute care unit will be utilized. Knowledge of electronic medical records systems is required. Experience with TR band management is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a professional, adaptable, and patient-centered approach to care. Compliance with dress code standards is necessary, including scrubs and appropriate footwear. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. This position requires availability for weekend shifts every other weekend. Cancellation of shifts may occur up to three times per contract.
