Position: Quality Control Specialist Department: Quality Assurance Reports To: Quality Control Manager FSLA Status: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time / In-House Job Summary The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products meet company and regulatory quality standards before they reach the customer. This role includes inspecting materials, monitoring production processes, identifying defects, and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to upholding quality excellence. Key Responsibilities Conduct visual inspections and measurements of incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products. Perform tests using standard procedures, equipment, and tools to identify deviations from specifications. Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of testing, observations, and corrective actions. Communicate non-conformities to appropriate departments and support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts. Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and testing equipment to ensure accuracy. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols. Collaborate with production teams to promote continuous quality improvements. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Previous experience in quality control or manufacturing preferred. Knowledge of quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, data entry systems). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Good communication and teamwork skills. Work Environment May require standing or walking for extended periods during inspections.
